Wiki tools charge per user, every month, and keep your data on their servers. Internal KB Kit is different: a complete knowledge base that runs on your own free Cloudflare account — markdown pages, search, and an AI assistant that answers only from your articles and shows which ones. One payment of $56 — less than one month of per-user seats — then nothing.
Get the kit — $56One zip: the app, the content shapes, and the process that keeps it alive. No npm install, no build step, no vendor account.
One zero-dependency Worker plus your D1 database. Your articles, your data, your account — deployed in about 20 minutes with the included step-by-step guide. The free tier covers a team.
Bring your own provider key (any OpenAI-compatible endpoint). The kit matches your best articles and the model must answer from them, citing [1] [2]. Nothing matches? It says so instead of inventing.
SOP, how-to, runbook, decision record, FAQ, onboarding checklist, post-mortem, and meeting-notes-to-KB — the formats that turn chat answers into permanent pages.
A realistic starter set: orientation FAQ, refund SOP, password and access policy, lost-device runbook, first-week onboarding checklist, expense SOP. Keep them, edit them, or delete them.
Owners per article, 90-day reviews, style rules, a monthly ritual, and a separate AI answers policy — the part that keeps a knowledge base true after the novelty wears off.
Write in the built-in editor or import .md files with the bundled tool. Your content lives in your database and exports any time. One team per license, unlimited internal users.
Your data never becomes someone else's feature. Internal knowledge holds salaries, customers and incidents. This kit runs on your Cloudflare account and stores articles in your own D1 database — the vendor receives nothing: no telemetry, no vendor dashboard, no phone-home.
The AI key is yours too. Ask AI calls your provider with your key, so you choose the model, the cost, and the provider terms. Only the question plus short excerpts of matched articles leave your account — and every answer links back to its sources.
Answers that show their work. The honest failure mode is built in: when your articles don't cover something, the assistant reports "not found" instead of guessing — which doubles as a to-do list for the knowledge base.
Three steps from zip to a knowledge base your team actually uses.
Unzip, create a D1 database, set one admin token, run wrangler deploy. Every command is written out in SETUP.md — copy, paste, done. You need a free Cloudflare account.
Import the six starter articles and eight templates with one command, then add your own first pages from the templates. Search and Ask AI work immediately.
Set a read token for the team, give editors the admin token, and follow the 14-day playbook and governance SOP so articles stay correct after launch week.
The same knowledge, priced the way this market prices it.
| Tool | Typical cost, 10–15 people | Model |
|---|---|---|
| Tettra | $8/user/mo, 10-user minimum → $80+/mo, every month | per-user SaaS |
| Slite | $20/user/mo → ≈ $300/mo at 15 users | per-user SaaS |
| Hosted SOP tools (Whale, SweetProcess) | from ≈ $82–249/mo | flat-to-per-user SaaS |
| Internal KB Kit | $56 once (≈ US$59) — total | self-hosted, one-time |
Public list prices checked September 2026; per-user tools billed annually vary. From year two the kit costs ฿0 per month — you pay only your own Cloudflare (the free tier is fine) and your own AI usage.
No monthly plan, no per-seat fee, no subscription.

A free Cloudflare account and about 20 minutes at a terminal — every command is written out in SETUP.md, with a troubleshooting table. Node.js is needed only for the one-time deploy commands. Optional: an AI provider API key if you want Ask AI — your key, your account, your cost control.
It is instructed to answer only from your articles and to cite them. When nothing matches, it replies that the knowledge base doesn't cover it — and no AI provider is even called. A model can still misread an excerpt, which is exactly why every answer links its sources, and the included policy doc sets the team rules. We promise citations and receipts, never "always right".
Articles live in your own Cloudflare D1 database. The kit has no telemetry and no vendor servers. If you enable Ask AI, the question plus short excerpts of matched articles are sent to the provider you configure — like any API call you would make yourself. The details are in the included AI-ANSWERS-POLICY.md.
Yes — one payment, a one-team license, yours forever, with free v1.x updates. Your articles are yours regardless; re-download the kit any time from your download page with your email and password.
If the kit doesn't fit how you work, email zicula06@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full — the zip is yours to keep or delete. One refund per purchase; we only ask for optional feedback.
Honestly, for many teams: do use Notion. This kit is for teams that want their data on their own account, no per-user billing, answers wired to verified internal pages, and a governance process — at a fraction of the cost. If that's not you, no hard feelings.
If you can paste commands into a terminal, no. SETUP.md lists eight commands from zip to working knowledge base, each with expected output, plus a troubleshooting table. After deploying, everything — writing, search, Ask AI, admin — runs in the browser.
